I understand that the Department of Housing may check my academic and judicial status as a part of the I-House Application process. I give my consent for the above checks when I submit this application.

I understand my roommate preference will be considered but not necessarily chosen. 

Attendance: I agree to attend/participate in a minimum of eight I-House activities from at least three different activity types each semester.  These include such activities as:

  • I-Angle: Academic or guest lectures which may take place on campus or in the Atlanta community.
  • I-Cuisine: Group meal featuring the cuisine and culture of a particular country or region.
  • I-Culture: This includes such activities as salsa lessons, cooking classes, food tastings, and attending local performances by touring entertainers.
  • I-Film: The screening of international films or attending a film festival in Atlanta.
  • I-Service: I-House residents reach out to the Atlanta International Community with targeted service.
  • I-Sport: This may include attending a professional sports game in Atlanta or organizing a mini-Olympics event.

In order to apply to the I-House, I understand I must also apply for housing online at www.housing.gatech.edu and submit my preferences for other housing if I am not accepted into the I-House.

I understand if my participation does not meet the satisfaction of the I-House program administrators that I will be asked to leave the I-House.  If I am asked to leave, this is binding and I will be given an assignment within Georgia Tech Housing if space permits that may or may not meet my preferences.
