GT Student named Institute Representative by Embassy of Spain

Atlanta (October 26, 2009) —The Embassy of Spain has chosen John Watson to be the Spanish Student Ambassador for Georgia Tech. Candidates were chosen on leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as a vocation for international affairs and current events. John Watson, an undergraduate studying electrical engineering and a member of the International Plan (IP), studied on the Spanish LBAT program and on a GT exchange program at UPV in Valencia, Spain. The main goals of this program are to promote ties between Spanish and U.S. educational institutions and to bring American students to study in Spain.
